Brand studio: fonts, colors and menus

Pick your fonts and colors for the workspace and every customer page, and arrange the menu for your team and yourself.

Who can use it

Brand studio is included with a paid plan, the same as removing "Powered by SixStack Relay". During a trial you can try everything in the live preview, marked Unlocks with your subscription, but nothing is saved or shown to customers.

The owner sets fonts and colors. Owners and managers set the team menu, templates and role defaults. Everyone can arrange their own menu.

Fonts and colors

  1. Step 1: Go to Settings and open Brand studio.
  2. Step 2: Under Typography, choose Headings or Body, then pick a font. Every font is free for commercial use.
  3. Step 3: Under Colors, set Primary, Accent and Page background with the color picker or a hex code like #1E3A8A. Or tap Suggest from logo to get colors from the logo in your brand kit.
  4. Step 4: Watch the Live preview: Workspace, Phone, Quote and Email.
  5. Step 5: Tap Save fonts and colors.
  • Tip: Relay checks every color against WCAG AA. If text would be hard to read, it shows a corrected shade next to your pick and uses that, so your pages always stay readable.
  • Tip: Fonts and colors apply to your workspace, quote and invoice links and PDFs, the customer portal, booking and request pages, membership join pages and emails. Email apps rarely load web fonts, so emails use the closest web-safe font.
  • Tip: Reset to Relay default puts the stock look back after you save.

The team menu

  1. Step 1: In Brand studio, open the Menus tab.
  2. Step 2: Drag an item by its handle, or use the up and down arrows, to change the order. With a keyboard, focus the handle, press Space, use the arrow keys and press Space again.
  3. Step 3: Type a new name over any item, for example Leads instead of Requests or Jobs instead of Schedule. Names can be up to 24 characters.
  4. Step 4: Choose Top bar for the items shown across the top on a computer (up to 7) and Phone for the bottom bar on phones (up to 5). Everything else stays under More.
  5. Step 5: Tap Shown to hide an item your business does not use. Settings and Help are always shown.
  6. Step 6: Set the Create menu order.
  7. Step 7: Tap Save as team menu.
  • Tip: A menu never gives anyone access to more. People only see the pages their role can open.

Templates and role defaults

Relay includes three layouts: Office (today's menu), Technician (the day's visits first) and Owner overview (reports and money first). Load one, adjust it and save it as the team menu or as your own named template.

  1. Step 1: Under Save this layout, type a Template name and tap Save as template.
  2. Step 2: Under Default menu per role, choose a menu for Owner, Manager and Staff and technicians.
  3. Step 3: Tap Save role defaults.
  • Tip: Relay uses, in order: a person's own menu, then their role's template, then the team menu, then the Office layout.

Your own menu

  1. Step 1: Open More and tap Customize menu.
  2. Step 2: Reorder items and choose your top bar and phone bar.
  3. Step 3: Tap Save my menu. Tap Reset to team layout to go back to the team's menu.
