Built for plumbing work

Where plumbing days go sideways, and what Relay does about it

  1. 01

Emergency calls land on top of a full day

A burst pipe comes in at 10 a.m. and the office has to reshuffle three plumbers by phone, hoping nobody ends up booked twice.

    In Relay

Drag the emergency onto the day view and Relay flags any conflict before you save. The plumber's My day updates and shows stops in order with directions.

    Scheduling and recurring plans
  2. 02

Water heater quotes stall at the kitchen table

The customer wants to think about tank versus tankless, the paper quote goes in a drawer, and nobody follows up.

    In Relay

Send good, better and best options from the water heater template. The customer picks one and signs online from a private link, and Relay emails you the moment they answer.

    Quotes signed online
  3. 03

No proof when a customer disputes the work

A callback about a drip turns into an argument because nobody photographed the joint or noted the shutoff valve condition.

    In Relay

Required checklist steps and photos come first. The leak repair checklist will not let the visit close until the photo is saved, and the work summary keeps it on the record.

    Phone checklists, photos and signatures
  4. 04

Chasing payment after the truck leaves

The invoice goes out days later and the office spends Fridays calling about unpaid repairs.

    In Relay

Turn the approved quote into an invoice in one step. The customer pays by card online through your own Stripe account, and unpaid invoice reminders can go out on their own.

  5. 05

Not knowing which jobs actually make money

A repipe felt busy, but nobody can say what it earned once labor hours and fittings are counted.

    In Relay

Plumbers track time on each job and add parts on the visit. Job profit shows what each job made after labor and parts.

FAQ

Plumbing questions, answered

Can I send water heater replacement options as one quote?
Yes. The plumbing template includes a water heater quote with good, better and best options: a standard tank, a larger tank with protection, or tankless. The customer picks one and signs online, and you change any line or price first.
How do emergency and after-hours calls work?
Log the call as a request, then drag it onto the schedule. Relay warns you about conflicts before you save. The template includes an emergency after-hours fee you can add to the quote or invoice.
Can plumbers use Relay on a phone in a basement with no signal?
Yes. Relay runs in the phone browser and can be added to the home screen, so there is nothing to download from an app store. Checklist steps and photos saved without a signal catch up when the phone is back online.
Does Relay keep a service history for each property?
Yes. Each customer record holds service locations, equipment such as water heaters and sump pumps, past visits, quotes, invoices and photos. The plumber sees it on the visit.
More questions (2)
How do customers pay?
You connect your own Stripe account. Customers pay invoices by card from a private link or the customer portal, and the money goes straight to your Stripe account. SixStack never holds your customers' payments.
What does Relay cost for a plumbing shop?
Solo is $59/month for one user. Team is $149/month with 5 users included, then $29/month for each added user. Both plans have every feature, a 30-day free trial with no card, and no contract.
