Live on my way tracking link
Customers get a private link with who is coming, the visit window, live status and, if the tech shares it, an approximate location.
What the customer sees
When a tech taps On my way, the on my way email and text include a private link. It shows your business, the tech's first name and initials, the visit window and each step as it happens: On the way, Arrived, Working and Done.
If the tech chose to share their location, the customer also sees an approximate dot on a map and an arrival estimate. The estimate uses straight-line distance and an average driving speed, so it is labeled as an estimate, not live traffic or routing.
The page offers Call and Text buttons for your business, and shows in Spanish for customers who prefer Spanish.
Turn it on or off
The link is on by default wherever on my way emails or texts are on. Nothing is sent while both are off.
- Step 1: Go to Settings and open Customer notifications.
- Step 2: Check or clear Live tracking link in on my way messages.
- Step 3: Tap Save customer notifications.
Sharing location as a tech
- Step 1: Tap On my way on your visit.
- Step 2: Relay asks once whether to share your location while you drive. Tap Share location, then allow location when your browser asks.
- Step 3: Keep Relay open on your phone. Your position updates about every 45 seconds.
- Step 4: Tap Pause on the visit to stop sharing for that visit, or turn it off for good in Your profile.
- Tip: Sharing stops by itself when you reach the address or tap Start job. The customer never sees your location after you arrive.
Privacy
Relay keeps only the latest approximate position for the visit (rounded to about 100 meters) and deletes it when you arrive, start or finish the job. There is no location history, and the link never shows other customers.
The link ends an hour after the visit is marked complete, or right away if the visit is canceled, and then shows a short note that it has ended.
