Quotes and invoices

Send a quote and get it signed

Build a quote with options and tax, send the link, and let the customer approve and sign online.

Save your tax rates once

  1. Step 1: Go to Settings and open Tax rates (Manage tax rates).
  2. Step 2: Under Add a rate, enter a Name and Rate (%).
  3. Step 3: Check Use by default on new quotes and receipts if it applies to most jobs.
  4. Step 4: Tap Add rate.

Build the quote

  1. Step 1: Open the customer and tap Create quote.
  2. Step 2: Check Quote details. Business and customer are filled in; tap Edit to change them.
  3. Step 3: Under Items, type to search your services or add a custom line, then enter Qty and Unit price. Enter moves to the next field and adds a line after the price.
  4. Step 4: Check Optional add-on for extras the customer can choose.
  5. Step 5: To give choices like repair or replace, check Offer options. Name each option (Good, Better, Best) and use Add option.
  6. Step 6: Pick a rate in Tax in the Summary, or choose No tax. The total and any deposit update as you type.
  7. Step 7: Tap Save quote, or Save and send to open the message right away. Your draft is kept in this browser until you save.
  • Tip: Custom amount tax does not work with options or optional items. Use a saved rate instead.

Send it

  1. Step 1: On the saved quote, tap Send to customer. This opens Messages with the email ready.
  2. Step 2: Check the Subject and Message, then tap Send customer email.
  3. Step 3: Or use Copy link in the Customer link panel and send it your own way. Preview shows what the customer sees.

How the customer signs

The customer opens the link, picks an option and any optional items, types their full name to sign, ticks the box and taps Approve and sign. They can also decline.

The signature is typed. There is no drawn signature.

  1. Step 1: Back in Relay, the Customer link panel shows Viewed and then Signed by with the name and date.
  2. Step 2: The Customer decision card shows Approved, Declined or Waiting for the customer.
  • Tip: If the customer says yes by phone, use Record customer decision on the quote.

Do it in Relay

You may be asked to sign in first.
