Scheduling

Multi-day jobs: schedule, track and push days

Book a roof, repaint, floor or install over several working days with a crew each day, track progress, and push the rest of the job for rain.

Schedule the job

  1. Step 1: Open the job (a won request) and tap Schedule multi-day job. Owners and managers can do this.
  2. Step 2: Name the job, pick the first day and how many working days it takes. Turn off the weekdays the crew does not work. Closures are skipped too.
  3. Step 3: Set the daily start and end time and pick the crew. Open Set the crew or hours for each day to change one day.
  4. Step 4: Add milestones if you like, such as tear-off, dry-in, shingles and cleanup, and plan each for a day.
  5. Step 5: Check the preview. A person who is booked, off or on a closed day shows in red and the job cannot be saved until it is fixed. Tap Schedule.
  • Tip: Each person gets their own visit every day, so time tracking, parts, photos and notes work as they do on any visit, and they add up on Job profit.
  • Tip: The customer gets one Visit booked email for day 1 when you tick it and the email is on, not one per day.

On the calendar and My day

Week and Month show the job as one bar across its days. Day and Team show each crew's visit with Day 2 of 4 on it, and the visit panel links back to the job.

On My day the tech sees which day of the job it is, the milestones for that day to tick, and the day's note.

Track the job

The job page shows the project schedule: progress by days done or by milestones, and every day with its crew, status, photos, hours logged and the day's note.

  • Tip: Edit day changes one day's hours or crew. A day that has started keeps its crew and hours.

Push the remaining days (rain delay)

  1. Step 1: On the job, tap Push remaining days.
  2. Step 2: Pick the first day that moves and how many working days to push. Every later day moves the same amount, keeping its crew and hours.
  3. Step 3: Leave Mark the first day as a weather delay on to keep it on the timeline.
  4. Step 4: Tick Email the customer the new dates to send one Visit time changed email. Check the preview for clashes, then tap Push.
